A Winter Poem

Winter

It's winter in Pennsylvania

And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.

Oh, how I love Pennsylvania

When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Pennsylvania

I'm frozen to the ground!!

  3. Lovely poem. I can relate. We lived for 2 years in the Poconos a few years ago. After 2 nasty winters of freezing cold temps, and all the heaving of snow...we headed strait to Arizona. Now in Texas...I couldn't even think of returning to a winter state. Well, never say never I guess. Tis pretty though!
